Leeds Metropolitan University's new £57m campus building has been officially opened by the Duke of Kent.

The Rose Bowl, at the university's Civic Quarter campus, will be the new home for Leeds Business School.

The building has a reflective glass lecture theatre at its heart, conferencing facilities for up to 600 people, offices and a restaurant.

During his visit on Friday the Duke said the building was "very impressive" and "unusual".

He added: "Those who will have the opportunity to work in it will be very lucky."
