Sex attack on woman at city bar

Police are investigating the suspected rape of a young woman in the centre of Leeds early on Monday morning.

Officers were called to a bar in Duncan Street in the city at about 0520 GMT where a 19-year-old woman had made a complaint of a sexual assault.

A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the inquiry was at an early stage and a full investigation had been launched.

The woman is being interviewed by specially-trained officers.
