Woman killed in deliberate fire

A murder investigation has started into the death of an 81-year-old woman who was killed in a fire in West Yorkshire.

Police said the blaze at Sandal Grange Farm, Walton Lane, Sandal, was caused deliberately.

Lea Brooke died in the early hours of Monday and has only just been formally identified by police.

The fire was not thought to be suspicious at first, but further investigations established that the blaze had been started deliberately.
