Boy killed in house blaze named

Ola Juwon Lemboye
Ola's body was recovered from an attic bedroom

A seven-year-old boy killed in a house fire in Leeds has been named.

Ola Juwon Lemboye died in the blaze at the family home in Brompton Terrace in Beeston on Tuesday night.

His mother, 37, managed to rescue Ola's eight-year-old brother and six-month-old sister, but was not successful in her efforts to save him.

The fire is believed to have begun when clothes left on a heater caught light. Firefighters recovered Ola's body from an attic bedroom, police said.

His mother and siblings were discharged from Leeds General Infirmary after treatment for the effects of breathing in smoke.

A file has been passed to the coroner.
