Police await 'home alone' mother

Detectives are waiting to question a mother who is alleged to have left her three young children "home alone" for two weeks, police have confirmed.

Simten Sadiq's three children, aged 11, six and five, were found hiding under a bed at their home on Alexandra Grove in the Burley area of Leeds on Saturday.

Ms Sadiq is thought to be on honeymoon in Turkey with her new husband.

Her former husband, Parvez Sadiq, had claimed she was returning to the UK on Tuesday, but she has not been seen.
