Two police officers in road crash

Six people including two police officers were taken to hospital when a car and a patrol car collided in Leeds.

The two officers had been responding to an emergency call when the accident happened at the junction of Calverley Street and the Headrow on Sunday.

The police car was in collision with a Mercedes C-Class which flipped over.

All six people were taken to hospital with cuts and bruises and have since been released.

The incident is being investigated by police internally.
