Woman killed in quad bike crash

A 75-year-old pedestrian was killed when a quad bike crashed into her while she was standing on a pavement in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

The bike had spun out of control after a collision with a Ford Mondeo car on King Cross Street.

The driver of the quad bike was taken to Calderdale Royal Infirmary where he is said to be in a stable condition.

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for any witnesses to the accident to contact them.
