Petrol bomb used to target house

A woman escaped injury after a petrol bomb smashed through the window of her home in West Yorkshire.

Police said the victim discovered her couch was on fire when she heard a bang at the property on Ringwood Road in Little Horton, Bradford at 0100 BST.

The woman managed to extinguish the fire and found the remains of what police believe to be a petrol bomb.

Det Insp Noel Devine said: "Luckily the victim discovered the fire and put it out before it took hold."
