Man arrested over cemetery rape

A man police wanted to question in relation to a rape in West Yorkshire has been arrested.

Detectives arrested the 47-year-old from the Todmorden area after he walked into a police station in Scarborough on Tuesday afternoon.

West Yorkshire Police said they had wanted to speak to the man after a 22-year-old woman was raped in Stoney Royd Cemetery, Halifax on Sunday.

The suspect is in custody awaiting questioning.
