Flat death teenager 'was stabbed'
Police in Leeds have started a murder investigation after a post-mortem examination showed a teenager found dead in the city had been stabbed.

West Yorkshire Police have now named the dead boy as Lewis Tomlin, 17, who was from Bedford.

His body was discovered at a flat in Raynville Road, Bramley, on Friday.

Police are linking the discovery to an earlier road crash in the city, which left a motorist with serious injuries. Officers are waiting to interview him.

The motorist, a man in his 50s, was injured when his Peugeot 306 was involved in a collision with a HGV on Tong Road, Farnley, at 0900 BST.

He remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

The teenager was found dead two hours after the crash. Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision to come forward.
