Thousands attend Gay Pride event
Last year's Gay Pride event
The event celebrates the diversity of the gay community
Thousands of people marched through the streets of Leeds during a Gay Pride event in the city.

The James Bond-themed event kicked off with a parade from Millennium Square through the city centre.

The first Leeds Pride sports day was then held in Hyde Park, ending with a 50-metre drag queen race.

Staff from the West Yorkshire Police and fire services joined in the celebrations of the diversity of the lesbian, gay and bisexual community.

Leeds staged its first Gay Pride event last year, when up to 6,500 people took part.
