Police are looking for a "dangerous" man who has gone on the run.
Police said anyone who saw Afflick should contact them on 999
Gary Dover Afflick, 41, went missing after being released from prison, where he was serving time for blackmail, supplying drugs and indecent assault.
Afflick was released from HMP Garth in Preston a week ago and was due to attend Millgarth Police Station in Leeds but failed to turn up.
Detectives said he had failed to comply with "the conditions of his registration" and was now missing.
He was originally sentenced at Bristol Crown Court in 1997.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Despite extensive enquiries police have so far been unable to trace Afflick and are now taking the step of releasing his details and photograph in order to find him as soon as possible.
"Police stress that he may present a danger and should not be approached."
Afflick is described as black, 5ft 9ins, with brown eyes and a shaven head. He weighs 13 stone and has a muscular build.
He also has crooked front upper teeth and speaks with a stammer and a lisp.
Police said he could be anywhere in the country and urged anyone who saw him to contact them immediately on 999.
