Officer critical after car crash
Police road block
Roads surrounding the crash site have been closed
A police officer remains in a critical condition in hospital following a road crash involving his police car.

He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary after the car crashed into a wall and landed on its roof on Bayton Lane, Yeadon, Leeds, on Friday evening.

A second male officer was treated for minor injuries. Several roads remain closed while inquiries take place.

West Yorkshire Police said two men had been arrested over the incident and were still being questioned on Sunday.

A spokeswoman said the force's Professional Standards Department had been notified of the incident.
