The wife of the former head of West Yorkshire's ambulance service has been cleared of fraud charges.

A judge ruled Angela Molton, 43, ordered a jury at Manchester Crown Court to return a not guilty verdict.

Mrs Molton was accused of conspiracy to defraud West Yorkshire Metropolitan Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

Her husband Trevor, 50, the trust's finance director John Miners, 54, of Nailsea, and estate agent Paul Buckley, 35, of Leeds, still face charges.

The trial was adjourned on Friday and will resume on Monday.

The group are accused of being part of an alleged conspiracy to use £250,000 of NHS money to fund a failing property company.

The three men deny the charges against them.
