A post mortem test found Emmie died after a road accident
A 19-year-old man has appeared in court charged with outraging public decency in connection with the death of a dog.

It follows an incident on 27 October in which a Yorkshire Terrier, Emmie, was found near its home in Huddersfield with a firework tied to its body.

Tests later showed the fatal injuries had been caused in a road accident.

Steven Robinson, of Linthwaite, appeared before Huddersfield magistrates who committed the case to Bradford Crown Court.
