Airport flights return to normal
Plane at end of runway at Leeds Bradford Airport
Fire crews evacuated all passengers from the plane
Flights at Leeds Bradford International Airport have returned to normal after a plane overshot the runway when landing on Wednesday.

An airport spokeswoman said the A320 Airbus was removed from the runway during the early hours of Thursday.

An investigation will now take place into why the LTE International plane, returning from Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands, experienced problems.

All 171 passengers were evacuated safely from the aircraft.

The spokeswoman said investigators will now examine the plane to see why it failed to stop properly on landing.
