Detectives have launched a murder hunt after a 36-year-old father-of-three was shot dead in a Leeds street.
The body of David Joseph Clarke was found outside a house in Blackmoor Road, Moortown, on Thursday night.
Mr Clarke leaves a wife, Tracy, two daughters aged 18 and 14 and a son aged 13. He was last seen by his wife when she left for work on Thursday morning.
West Yorkshire Police said: "We now need to know where David spent the last day of his life and who he was with."
A spokesman said Mr Clarke's injuries were believed to be consistent with a gunshot wound, but police were awaiting the results of a post mortem examination due to be carried out on Friday.
Out of character
Det Supt Paul Taylor, who is leading the inquiry, said: "David was last seen at home at 6.50am yesterday [Thursday] when his wife left for work.
"At this stage we know of no further sightings of him until his body was found at 7.55pm.
"I am also appealing to anyone who is aware of someone behaving out of character today to get in touch.
"Did your partner come home last night in an emotional state? Have they thrown away the clothes they were wearing? I need people to ask themselves these questions.
"If you know someone who may have been involved and was out last night around 7.55pm please get in touch. "
