Pair remanded over lay-by bones
Leonard Fulbirg
Mr Fulbirg's remains were found in a lay-by
Two people have appeared in court charged with the murder of a man whose remains were found in a West Yorkshire lay-by eight years ago.

Parts of Leonard Fulbirg's skeleton were found near Keighley in March 1997, but were only identified in July 2004.

Graham Haylett, of Batley, and Tracey Cameron, of Bierley, Bradford, both 40, were remanded in custody by magistrates in Bradford on Thursday.

They are due to appear at Bradford Crown Court on 21 April.

Mr Fulbirg, 49, who had been living in Bradford but was originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, had been missing since 1996.

He was last seen when he left his brother's home in Bradford to meet a friend at a McDonald's restaurant.

A leaflet and poster campaign appealing for information about his death was launched in the summer of 2004 after a breakthrough in DNA testing helped in the identification of the remains on the A6033, above Oxenhope near Keighley.
