Music festival proves key event
Hundreds of young musicians will be hitting a high note over the weekend as they take part in the Music for Youth festival in West Yorkshire.

Instrumentalists, singers and dancers aged from seven to 21 are gathering at Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield for the musical extravaganzas.

Along with bands and orchestras the festival boasts a number of entries from schools in the area.

Last year over 70,000 children took part in Music for Youth nationally.
