Four men have been found guilty of the murder of a teenager who was stabbed to death in a street brawl.

Tyrone Clarke, 16, died after he was attacked by 20 men in Brett Gardens, Beeston, on 22 April. Post-mortem tests showed he died from stab wounds.

Islamur Rahman, 21, Anjum Amin,22, Kamer Akram, 22 and Liaquat Ali, 17, who the court said can be named despite his age, appeared at Leeds Crown Court.

The men will be formally sentenced by the trial judge on Friday.

The court heard how there had been previous trouble between rival groups of young men in the inner-city area.

More than a dozen police officers were on duty inside and outside the court when the verdicts were announced on Wednesday.
