Body of missing pensioner found

Mountain rescue teams had helped in the search for Mr Hazelhurst
An 82-year-old man who went missing from his home in Dewsbury just before Christmas has been found dead.

Police using the force helicopter and dog teams launched a search for George Hazelhurst after he left his house in Walker Street on 20 December.

On Friday 7 January, a body of a man was found off Caulms Wood Road in Crackenedge, Dewsbury.

Officers say the body has now been identified as Mr Hazelhurst and there are no suspicious circumstances.
