Fresh leads in hunt for sex pest
E-fit of sex attack suspect

Police hunting a sex attacker who lured his 12-year-old victim into a car by pretending to be a policeman say they are following several new leads.

They had received "a positive response" from the public after releasing an e-fit picture of the suspect on Monday.

The girl was sexually assaulted after getting into the man's car on Batley Road, Wakefield on New Year's Eve.

Police particularly want to hear from anyone who can connect the man in the e-fit with a silver Peugeot or Citroen.

After getting into the car shortly after midday on Friday, the victim was driven about three miles to Stoney Lane, a track running under the M1, where she was assaulted.

The man then drove her back to where he had picked her up.
