Snow and ice affect county roads
Motorists are being warned of possible disruption caused by snow and ice on roads across Yorkshire on Friday.

The A57 Snake Pass, which links Sheffield and Manchester, was closed at its summit due to heavy showers - 3ins of snow fell in Hathersage, Derbyshire.

Roads around Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, have been affected by ice, while there was heavy snowfall at Saddleworth Moor on the border with Greater Manchester.

Gritters have been out during the night on major routes.
