Distinct ring clue in murder hunt
Police are trying to trace a similar ring that Mr Fulbirg wore.
Police investigating the death of a man whose remains were dumped in a lay-by seven years ago are trying to trace a distinctive ring he wore.

Parts of Leonard Fulbirg's skeleton were found near Keighley in March 1997 but were only recently identified.

The ring, which had been specially made for the 49-year-old, disappeared at the same time as he did in August 1996.

A 38-year-old woman from Bradford and a 38-year-old man from Dewsbury arrested on 23 June have been released on bail.

Mr Fulbirg, who is originally from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, left his brother's home in Buttershaw saying he was going to meet a friend and was never seen again.

His remains were found by the A6033 above Oxenhope, Keighley in March 1997. The body had been dismembered.

He was identified through advances in DNA analysis in June 2004.

Police say he was never seen without his ring and believe it may have been sold to a jeweller in the Bradford area.
