The school was threatened with closure in 2002

Education chiefs have moved a step closer to deciding the fate of two threatened schools in Leeds.
Public consultation about the future of Rodley Village and Aireview primary schools ends on Friday.
Then, the review process means Leeds City Council's executive board must consider the submissions.
However, objections expected from campaigning parents must be referred to an independent committee before a final decision is reached.
Those opposing the demise of the Rodley school have claimed "the heart of the community will be ripped out" if both closures go ahead.
The school's pupils would then have to travel to a new school established on the site of nearby Aireview Primary.
Rodley Primary was first threatened with closure in 2002 when Education Leeds, the company that runs schools for the council, announced plans to reduce surplus places.
The Campaign for State Education (Leeds CASE) opposed those proposals, arguing too many schools may be shut, affecting already deprived areas of the city.
