Investigation into fire at school

Investigations are taking place into the cause of a fire at a secondary school in east Leeds.

West Yorkshire Fire Service were called to Garforth Community College on Lidgett Lane at 2109 BST on Saturday.

Crews from the Garforth, Stanks and Gipton fire stations found the fire was in a laboratory storeroom on the third floor of the school.

The fire was quickly extinguished and special equipment was used to remove smoke from the area.
