New checks on city taxi drivers
More rigorous guidelines are being proposed over the issuing of taxi licences in Bradford.

They would apply to drivers who have been convicted or cautioned by the police or accused of a serious allegation where no action was taken.

In these cases, a licence will only be issued in exceptional circumstances.

Officers are proposing the new guidelines to reassure the public over safety. Drivers can appeal if a licence is refused.
