A teenage girl has died after part of a wall collapsed on her at a football pitch near Wakefield.
Kirsty McSweeney, 15, from East Ardsley, died at Ardsley Celtic's Cave Lane ground after being trapped under the wall on Wednesday.
She is believed to have been with other teenagers near the 5ft wall of a dugout when the accident happened.
Kirsty was a pupil at Rodillian School in Lofthouse where the head teacher said they were saddened by the news.
'Great tragedy'
"She was a popular and successful student and will be much missed," said John Barrett.
"Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time."
A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said Kirsty died at the scene from her injuries and the coroner had been informed.
Jack Wainwright, the secretary of Ardsley Celtic, said he first heard about the accident just before the club was due to hold its usual Wednesday evening training session at the ground.
"We're a community club," he said, "and it's a great tragedy for the whole community."
