Police begin sex attacker search

A teenager has been subjected to a serious sex attack as she took a short cut home after a night out.

Police sealed off the crime scene in South Elmsall, near Pontefract, West Yorkshire, following the incident shortly after midnight on Tuesday.

The victim had been drinking in the Foresters Pub in Barnsley Road and was assaulted behind Jackson's supermarket.

Her attacker is described as a white man in his 20s, with short dark hair and a local accent.
