Fire crews have tackled a major fire at a building on an industrial estate in Leeds.
More than 40 firefighters went to the EMR Robinson Group plant on Knowsthorpe Way in the Cross Green area of the city.
Witnesses on the M1 motorway reported thick black smoke pouring from the facility.
West Yorkshire Fire Service say the alarm was raised at 1736 BST on Thursday and a spokeswoman described it as a "major incident".
It is believed the fire started in a building used to store PVC foam.
Six pumps were deployed to prevent the flames spreading to a nearby building housing liquid propane gas.
EMR is a metal recycling company and operates a shredding facility at its site in Cross Green.
