Six men held in Sparkbrook stabbing murder inquiry

Six people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died in Birmingham from a suspected stab wound.

Emergency services were called to a multi-occupancy address in Auckland Road, in the Sparkbrook area of the city, shortly before 0200 GMT.

They found a man collapsed with an apparent stab wound who was pronounced dead in hospital shortly after.

Six men from the same address are being questioned by West Midlands Police and the scene has been cordoned off.

A post mortem examination is due to be carried out later.

Anyone who was in the vicinity of Auckland Road in the early hours of Saturday who may have seen or heard anything suspicious has been asked to contact West Midlands Police or Crimestoppers.
