Thousands at St Patrick's parade in Birmingham

Parade
Thousands of people attended

About 80,000 people turned out for this year's St Patrick's parade in Birmingham, the city council said.

The procession, from Camp Hill to the Bullring, featured dozens of floats, dancers and pipe bands.

Town criers from across the Midlands also attended the event in the city centre.

Bob Brolly, the presenter of BBC WM's Irish Programme, said: "We've got Bhangra dancers. We've got people from all over the world taking part."
