Store reopens after mice closure

The Mailbox store
The store was shut on Monday

A Tesco store in Birmingham city centre where mice were found has reopened after being given the all-clear from environmental health officers.

Tesco Express in Wharfside Street, beside the Mailbox, was shut on Monday following a visit by officials from Birmingham City Council.

They said there was "mouse activity and food at risk of contamination".

A Tesco spokesman said staff had been dealing with the problem. The store reopened on Wednesday at 0900 GMT.
