Fatal nightclub double shooting

A man has died and another man has been injured in a double shooting at a nightclub in the West Midlands.

Police were called to Tropical Harmony nightclub in Bilston High Street, Wolverhampton, in the early hours.

Two men were found inside the club with gunshot wounds. One of the men in his early 30s later died in hospital.

The second man is in a serious but stable condition, police said. About 50 people were thought to have been inside the club at the time.

Previous shootings

Three people, including the nightclub's owner, were shot outside Tropical Harmony in September 2008.

A pub landlord was also shot dead nearby, outside Gavin's Sports Bar in The Orchard, Bilston, on 28 July, 2009.

Anyone who was in Tropical Harmony nightclub in the early hours of Saturday is asked to contact police.

Anybody with information should call West Midlands Police or call Crimestoppers.
