Student is found with knife wound

A 19-year-old male university student has been found dead with a knife wound in Birmingham.

Paramedics found the University of Birmingham student's body at a house in Alton Road, Selly Oak, just before 1900 GMT on Friday, a spokesperson said.

Police said they were treating his death as suspicious.

Forensics teams were investigating the scene and an investigation has been launched to find out how the student died.
