Rush hour delays over lorry crash

Motorists suffered rush hour delays of up to 30 minutes after a lorry jack-knifed in the West Midlands.

A concrete barrier was damaged on a flyover connecting the M5 northbound with the M6 southbound at the Rayhall junction at about 0700 GMT.

One lane of that stretch reopened within about 25 minutes.

But the M5 northbound was closed at junction 1 at about 1115 GMT. It has since reopened. Nobody was injured, the ambulance service said.
