Fire destroys ex-brewery building

The three-storey brick building collapsed

A Grade II listed building at a former brewery site in the Black Country has been destroyed in a fire.

More than 60 firefighters went to the former Langley Maltings site in Western Road in the Oldbury area after the fire service was called late on Tuesday.

A three-storey brick building collapsed a couple of hours into the fire, the West Midlands Fire Service said.

The cause of the fire is not known at this stage and there were no reports of anybody being injured.

About 35 firefighters were still at the site on Wednesday morning damping down.
