A cyclist has been taken to hospital after being injured when he was in collision with a bus in Birmingham. The ambulance service was called to Coventry Road, in the Small Heath area of the city, shortly before 0910 BST. The man, who is aged in his 30s, suffered a head injury. He was immobilised with the use of a spinal board and neck collar at the scene. He was then taken to Heartlands Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
