An eighth person, a 17-year-old boy, has been charged with murder after the fatal shooting of a licensee outside his bar in the West Midlands.

Swinder Singh Batth, 47, was shot on 28 July outside Gavin's Sports Bar in The Orchard, Bilston, Wolverhampton, and pronounced dead in hospital.

The 17-year-old, from Bilston, was due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Monday, police said.

Six men and a woman who were in court on Saturday were remanded in custody.

They appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court and are due at the city's crown court on 26 October.

The pub landlord was shot in the chest outside the bar at just after midnight.
