A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out on the dead man later.

'Getting worse'

The man, who has not been formally identified, is believed to have been stabbed in the neck.

The victim is believed to have been visiting a friend when he got into an argument with another man.

Neighbour Aaron Sims, 16, said the dispute began in Blandford Road and ended in nearby Ely Grove.

He said: "There are people carrying knives around here - the area is getting worse."

The road has been cordoned off while investigations continue.
