Boy is airlifted after road crash

A boy was injured when he was hit by a car in the West Midlands.

The boy, who is believed to be aged five, suffered head, back and arm injuries in the incident in St Johns Road, Dudley, just before 1500 BST.

The child was immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board before being taken to hospital, the ambulance service said.

He was flown to hospital by air ambulance and was in a stable condition, the ambulance service said.
