Two men injured in city shooting

Two men are in hospital after they were shot in a street in Birmingham.

The men, aged 23 and 33, suffered injuries which were not thought to be life-threatening, a West Midlands Police spokesman said.

The gunman was believed to have fled on foot after firing the shots in Church Vale, Handsworth, at about 2010 BST on Friday.

The scene was sealed off while forensic examinations continue. Police have appealed for witnesses.
