Pair deny killing boy aged three

A couple have pleaded not guilty to murdering a three-year-old boy who died in Birmingham Children's Hospital on Christmas Eve.

Kayley Boleyn, 18, and Christopher Taylor, 23, of Slim Avenue, Bradley, Wolverhampton, also deny causing or allowing Ryan Lovell-Hancox's death.

The pair also deny a charge of cruelty to a child.

Both defendants appeared at Birmingham Crown Court and were remanded in custody until a trial on 1 March.
