Taxi drivers staged a go-slow protest

Taxi drivers brought traffic to a standstill in large areas of Birmingham city centre after staging a go-slow protest.

The A38 Aston Expressway had four lines of slow traffic inbound from its junction with the M6.

Traffic was also stood still at the Queenway tunnel. West Midlands Police had been monitoring the situation.

Many taxi drivers have been unhappy at the loss of contracts at Birmingham International Airport.
