Fatal crash pedestrian identified

Police have identified a 27-year-old man who died after he was run over outside a Birmingham school.

James Sutherland suffered multiple injuries and died in hospital following the crash near College High School, in Kingstanding, on Thursday morning.

A 40-year-old man arrested in connection with the death has since been released on police bail.

Officers urged any witnesses to the crash, at the junction of College Road and Hawthorn Road, to contact them.
