Man denies murdering two sisters

Sabrina and Yasmine Larbi-Cherif
The sisters died of stab wounds

A man has denied murdering two sisters who were found dead in their flat.

Algerian-born Yasmine Larbi-Cherif, 22, and younger sister Sabrina, 19, were found dead at Jupiter Apartments in Birmingham in September.

Mohammed Ali, 28, of Old Snow Hill, Birmingham, pleaded not guilty at the city's crown court.

The sisters were British nationals and had only lived in their flat for a few weeks. Both women had died of stab wounds, tests revealed.

Mr Ali's trial is expected to start on 6 May next year.
