Two women killed as cars collide

Two women have died as a result of a crash involving two cars in Birmingham.

Emergency services were called to Bells Lane, Druids Heath, during the early hours of Sunday after two cars were involved in a collision.

A woman in her 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. A 19-year-old woman was taken to hospital where she later died from her injuries.

A 62-year-old man and a woman, 60, remain in a critical condition. Another man suffered minor injuries.

The ambulance service was called at 0135 GMT.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
