Cleaning woman has electric shock

A woman suffered an electric shock while vacuuming, ambulance staff say.

The woman, who was believed to be in her 60s, was cleaning at a property in Mersey Grove, Kings Norton, in Birmingham at the time of the incident.

Two ambulances were sent to the scene and she was treated for electrical burns to her fingers.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said the woman was later taken to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham for further assessment.
