'Buzz Lightyear' punched in face

A man dressed as the Toy Story cartoon character was assaulted

A man dressed as the cartoon character Buzz Lightyear was attacked on his way home from a fancy dress party.

The party-goer, 26, was punched in the face by youths while waiting for a taxi in Rubery, Worcestershire, with a friend dressed as a Jack-in-the-box.

He was taken to hospital and treated for a broken nose and black eye.

The attack happened at about 0015 GMT on Sunday in New Road, near the social club. West Mercia Police said they wanted to speak to a female witness.
