Woman burned by firework in pub

A 75-year-old woman suffered burns to her leg when a firework was thrown into a pub as she was enjoying a drink.

The incident happened at the Cambridge pub in Cambridge Street, Walsall, at about 2120 GMT on Friday.

Ambulance staff said the customer was treated at the scene. They said only her clothing had saved her from more serious injury.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was "an incredibly foolish and dangerous" thing to do.
